However\u00a0the\u00a0experiences\u00a0of\u00a0Paung\u00a0Ku\u00a0and\u00a0its\u00a0partners\u00a0has\u00a0shown\u00a0that\u00a0Myanmar\u2019s\u00a0human\u00a0diversity\u00a0and\u00a0social\u00a0harmony\u00a0is\u00a0threatened\u00a0when\u00a0individuals,\u00a0or\u00a0groups,\u00a0judge\u00a0certain\u00a0groups\u00a0of\u00a0people\u00a0as\u00a0more\u00a0important\u00a0or\u00a0more\u00a0worthwhile\u00a0than\u00a0others.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>

This\u00a0threat\u00a0is\u00a0made\u00a0more\u00a0dangerous\u00a0when\u00a0individuals,\u00a0or\u00a0groups,\u00a0misuse\u00a0their\u00a0existing\u00a0power\u00a0to\u00a0privilege\u00a0certain\u00a0groups\u00a0above\u00a0others;\u00a0seek\u00a0to\u00a0gain\u00a0more\u00a0power\u00a0by\u00a0placing\u00a0certain\u00a0groups\u00a0above\u00a0others;\u00a0and\u00a0when\u00a0they\u00a0control\u00a0access\u00a0to\u00a0resources\u00a0and\u00a0seek\u00a0to\u00a0control\u00a0the\u00a0behaviours,\u00a0attitudes\u00a0and\u00a0beliefs\u00a0of\u00a0other\u00a0people.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>
