From time to time, Paung Ku will make the strategic decision to step forward and undertake direct implementation. For example in 2015 we hosted a workshop on environmental issues related to proposals to dam the Thanlwin River. The workshop was held in Mowlamyaing University and brought together academics from China, Thailand and Myanmar with civil society actors and government representatives.
